I am worried that this malware (which apparently is classed as adware) may be able to impact the computer in other harmful ways. Running a full Norton scan found nothing. We have cleared the notifications and changed settings so that apps are no longer able to set notifications - this has stopped any more notifications appearing. This was putting up frequent notifications, some of which appeared to be from Norton, warning that a virus had been found and saying click here to delete it. One of my computers (running Win 10, using the MS Edge browser) was infected yesterday (9th August) with uniqdatacaptcha.top.
